The hike to the woodcarver was very long and difficult when you’re not used to hiking in the mountains. First we went down the mountain and then back up the other mountain. It was a very stoop way through the grass, because there wasn’t a pad. We also walked through a little forest with far down a stream with snow water. When we arrived at the woodcarver there was a large shop with all kind of stuff. They also had wooden boggles for your scarf, so I bought for every beaver leaders, with their real name in it. Next to the woodcarver there was a café, but not everybody had enough money so we sat down in the grass while having our lunch. Than we split up the group for the long and short hikers. They explained the shortest road back to Adelboden (wich seemed to be an other 5 km uphill). But it was a pleasant walk with a lot of son and we had music to listen to.
Within a hour we arrived at Adelboden, so we did it quicker than expected. There we first find the bank to get money and then we search for a restaurant to have something to eat. Than we walked through every store for the last presents and to the pharmacist. And than we decided to take the cabins up the mountain. The cabins took seven and a half minute to go up, which was very quick and we had an amazing view. Especially when we arrived at the top we could look to the mountains behind that mountain. There also was a ski resort and restaurant. The restaurant had a terrace so we lay down on the sun chairs. Then I heard somebody talking Dutch. It’s quit amazing that when you’re so high and far from the civil world you meet other dutch people. We talked a little and I tried to write down my feeling at that moment to my journal. There also was a slide which we tried. But that wasn’t that simple. When we’re ready to go down we met the group who walked up the hill. They were very surprised seeing us there and first were jealous because they thought we walked a shorter road. When we’re down we slowly walked back to Our Chalet to be on time for diner. But fore having diner I took a bath.
Not everybody was back for diner when we started, but we didn’t know what time they would arrive. After diner we had to clothe ourselves very warm for the campfire. But it wasn’t a normal campfire, it was one in the snow. They started with a little story about fire from the four wind rose and then the light the fire. We al got a campfire songbook and we song all songs. It was very cosy and I learned a lot of new songs. Then after campfire we talked about stuff. I also talked with the Mexican girl because she had a little fight with other girls.
