The morning session was from Sophy Cotis and started with a game called Breakfest with Cereals. In this game everybody is standing in a circle and the girl in the middle called something like; I’m from Europe, and when that’s true for you, you need tot switch places with an other girl it’s true for. After that game we did a little game with walking around the circle and when the leaders says stop you need to crawl beneath the port of you partner to get a little child. The little child is something you need to take care of for the rest of the week. Than we had a little discussion about the conditions of learning. And we discussed how we can get the answers on our questions. To exercise being creative in finding answers we had to make groups and make a quiz. There were different questions like; Draw a flower you see? Describe how it feels to hug a tree? What is the last international news? and How old is Adelboden? What do we eat tonight? Some questions we can make without searching for the answer, other questions we need to look up in the books and some questions we had to ask others. We also used the phone to contact somebody in our home country to find the answers. Then we discussed the way we found our answers and we need to draw the way we learn that morning in a picture. After the coffee break we discussed the differences of difficulties of learning in poor and rich country’s. Because there’s no country on the world where every child is going to school. We need to think about ideas for them to go to school and write them down on little hearts.
While having lunch we talked about boys… In the free time I finished reading the book and climbed with an other girl on the mountain. The sight was amazing, and the mountain between Adelboden and Kandersteg was enormous. After making many pictures we walked back for the second session. Some other girls had changed their clothes and were browning in the sun.
The next session is called Discover Your Potential and was about … . First we need to write down who we adore and why. Than we need to explain that in a little group and comparing the reasons why we adore them. We need to make a list of them; on our list are characteristics like; confident, decision maker, inspiring, communicative, responsible, reflective and creative. Than we shared our outcomes to the other groups. After that there was a presentation about the new leadership model from WAGGGS. And the four kinds of leadership and what our style is. The four styles are Warrior, Sovereign, Lover and Magician. I think that my style could be compared the most with the warrior-role. After discussing the roles we made groups based on the different styles (in every group all four styles) and had the assignment to plan a camp, because the organisation had stopped and the were only two weeks left. My group especially paid attention about what must been done and who wants to do what. After that we discussed the working of the different groups, and how a groups works with a lot of lovers, of a strong warrior etcetera.
The dinner was rice with chicken and cucumber. And for the evening programme was Adelboden; we went to the pub. It was a very long straight walk. First we looked at the different displays of the shops. There were a lot of chocolate shops, but non of them were open. Then we checked the first two pubs, but they were very smelly so we went to the last one, which combines a disco with a pub. It was a really pleasant stay, and fortunately it was girls night, so we all got a free drink. We also danced on the music, the also got dutch music. For some girls it became very late, but I went back on time. On our way back we tried every bench on the road up the mountain. We also almost lost our way, but thankfully there was an other group near behind us.
